Are you looking for a new hobby? A fun way to spend your evenings or weekends? Have you considered horse riding? Maybe you have tried it before, really loved it and want to do it more often.
There several health benefits of horse riding.
Horse riding is a great exercise and offers a number of health and fitness benefits, including:
- Develops leg muscles.
- Improves balance and posture.
- Improves mental concentration.
- Develops the arm muscles and the agility of the hands.
- Refreshes and clears the mind of daily distractions.
Horse riding is an activity for all ages and abilities. More and more adults are taking to the sport for its exercise benefits and as a relaxing means to enjoy the great outdoors.
Imagine the buzz of galloping along a deserted beach, through a quiet desert or open plain. Horse riding allows you to discover and explore, giving you a sense of pure, timeless freedom and thorough exhilaration.
Ras Al Khaimah is the perfect place for Horse Riding, with the beautiful soft sands, the desert and outdoor space, plus the weather is cooling down. It’s the perfect time to watch the sunrise or sunset whilst having lessons or riding.
Visit the riding school in advance
Once you have chosen a school it is most important that you pay it a visit to check it out. Get a feel for the place and have a chat with one of the instructors and any other beginners. Is it a place that you feel comfortable to learn in? If you are unable to visit, you may need to call beforehand to let the instructor know a few details about your physique. Then, the horse that will be prepared for your lesson will best be suited to you.
The more keen and experienced riders may have their own pony or horse and all the riding gear, but you don’t need a horse or all the gear to get started. The riding school can provide training, from the absolute novice through to the more confident and experienced rider. They also offer a taster of the sport whilst providing all the necessary equipment you will need, not forgetting the horse!
There are two/three great places to visit for Horse Riding in Ras Al Khaimah, and they offer a very different experience for adults and children.
